Rain





First, I modeled and textured a rain drop to import as a static mesh (export as .ASE format), using the Mesh Data type in Cascade. I stretched the drops using the Initial Size module, raising the Z value a bit. I got the idea of using a mesh (as opposed to facing planes) playing Gears of War 2 on the multiplayer level Hail, where razor sharp hail rains down every once in a while and kills you if you are not fast enough to find shelter.
